This award recognizes an individual, institution, team, or community member that exudes the spirit of collaboration and partnership with other transfer institutions in leading and supporting transfer student success.
Submission Deadline: Friday, January 17th, 2025.
Suplemental Information
Nominations should have a broad and widespread impact on students, as well as highlight a cooperative spirit with the transfer partner institution. The award criteria is based on five main areas, including:
- Innovative thinking
- Demonstrated student outcomes,
- Cooperative spirit with transfer institution(s)
- Student engagement (e,g., etc. student engagement, participation)
- Potential replication of the project at other institutions
To be nominated for the award, please attach the following as the supervisor, colleague, or nominee:
- A summary of the extent to which the nominee’s contribution towards transfer student success is noteworthy, along with a description of the initiative, project, or program that specifically addresses each of the criteria listed above.
- A list of the transfer partner institutions involved.
- Supporting quantitative and qualitative data regarding the number of students impacted, as well as results of demonstrated student outcomes.

Previous Award Winners
- 2024
Undergraduate Research Transfer Initiative: A Valencia College-UCF partnership creating research opportunities, a clear curriculum, and a pathway for student transfers over the past five years.
- 2023
Knight Track Program, a partnership between Valencia College, the UCF Connect Transfer Center, and the UCF College of Business, is an academic success scholarship program designed for transfer students new to UCF.
- 2021-22
Lake-Sumter State College Honors Program, led by Amber Karlins, which helps increase transfer success for historically disadvantaged and underrepresented student populations.
- 2020
Concurrent BSN Advising Team, to include the academic advisors and support personnel at the University of Central Florida, Seminole State College, and Valencia College.
- 2019
"Transitions" Course Development Team, to include faculty and staff at Valencia College and UCF.
